I describe myself as a Visual Textile artist. I work with natural fibres and wherever possible use sustainable products. Mediums are used with a “why not?” attitude rather than in a “this is the way to use them!” manner.

I weave with a cotton warp that allows me to “Paint”. The woven piece then becomes a sculpture when I soak it in stiffener. Over days and sometimes weeks I can manipulate and tweak until I am satisfied.

 I like to take things out of context. Fibres that look and are soft can be made hard but still look soft. Things are never as they seem.

My favourite fibres are silk and cotton. My inspiration is life.
